In another egregious incident of performers getting hit by projectiles, Eric Clapton was forced to cut short a concert in Madrid when he was struck in the chest by a vinyl record. The 81 year-old guitar icon was exiting the stage having promised to return for an encore when he was hit by the object. Clapton understandably did not return to the stage, disappointing his expectant fans whose night was ruined, yet again, by one reckless dickhead.
Australian performer Adam Hyde aka Keli Holiday was denied re-entry into the US, cutting short a North American tour. Hyde released a statement on social media about his predicament and observers were quick to speculate it has something to do with comments made by his influencer girlfriend, Abbie Chatfield. Chatfield posted an apology video, referencing a controversial video she made a year ago in which she appeared to encourage incels to shoot President Trump. Hyde is reported to be back home and embarking on a local tour.
Carsen Richards, the now former bassist for country musician Chase Matthews, has been arrested on child sex charges in the United States. Richards was arrested shortly after coming off stage at a festival in Kentucky. He is accused of sexually abusing a boy on two occasions in 2020 and 2022 when they were ages 12 and 14. If convicted, he faces up to ten years in prison.
Modern metal maestros Lamb of God and Trivium team up for a co-headline tour coming to Australia in October. The tour takes over arenas in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane with support from special guests Bleed From Within.
