The year 2025 is quickly drawing to a close, but there’s still plenty happening in music and entertainment news to keep you jolly this coming festive season.
Lady Gaga fans in Brisbane were less then impressed when they found themselves stranded outside Suncorp Stadium, missing the first half of the show. Lady Gaga’s performance was delayed by 40 minutes due to a technical error, leading to overcrowding in the forecourt. Once she went onstage, many fans had to listen from outside the venue before being admitted.
With AC/DC’s PWR/UP tour hitting Suncorp Stadium this weekend, there are concerns about a repeat occurrence, and if you think Lady Gaga fans were mad, wait till you meet an angry AC/DC hardcore. On that note, AC/DC brings the power to Suncorp Stadium this Sunday 14 December.
Meanwhile, Australian television has been thunderstruck by the death of renowned foreign affairs commentator Dr Keith Suter, aged 77. Dr Suter was a respected expert in international politics who provided trusted commentary about complex world issues. He reportedly passed away in hospital, with no further details given.
Art-rock icon Grace Jones has announced she will return to Australia in February and March 2026 for a tour that includes a performance at WOMADelaide. The renowned boundary-defying artist and beloved Bond villain will also perform at Sydney Opera House, Palace Foreshore in Melbourne and South Bank in Brisbane.
Seminal Australian metalcore outfit The Amity Affliction have today announced an extensive regional tour set to kick off in February 2016. The band will be hitting 21 dates spread across Queensland, NSW, Tasmania, Victoria and South Australia, with support from In Hearts Wake & Redhook.
Following the unfortunate cancellation of Park Waves festival, the upcoming tour gives fans in regional centres another opportunity to catch the band before they jump back over to the US for a tour in April.
Legendary metal titans MEGADETH and Trafalgar Releasing have revealed the trailer for MEGADETH: BEHIND THE MASK, a cinematic legacy event that will debut on screens worldwide Thursday, January 22.
