The high priestess of Australian pop Kylie Minogue has picked up her second ever Grammy Award, winning the inaugural ‘best pop dance recording’ category for her 2023 smash single ‘Padam Padam’.

Kylie Minogue won her first Grammy 20 years ago for ‘best dance recording’ with ‘Come Into My World’ in 2004. Taken from her 2023 album ‘Tension’, pounding club anthem ‘Padam Padam’ has reaffirmed Kylie’s indomitable pop supremacy and her ability to reinvent herself.

In light of the win, Kylie paid tribute to her legions of fans particularly within the LGBT+ community for their unwavering support over the years.

“I would say thank you for being with me for such a long time now, through thick and thin,” Kylie said.

“We ride the highs, the lows and the in-betweens, and to know that we’ve got each other’s backs, and this feels like the start of the next era.”

Kylie Minogue is a certified national Australian treasure, having first won hearts during the ‘80s as Charlene Robinson in the hit soap opera ‘Neighbours’. She then transitioned into music and over the past 40 years has become the highest-selling female Australian artist ever, topping over 80 million record sales worldwide.

Long overdue for an Australian tour – her last being in 2019 – coupled with the success of single ‘Padam Padam’ and album ‘Tension’, hopes are high for a Kylie Minogue Australian tour this year.
