New Music: ‘She Has Many Wonders’ Strawbrian Players Convention

Just in time for St Dwynwen’s Day (Welsh Valentine’s Day) on25th January, Strawbrian Players Convention release their new single ‘She Has Many Wonders’ via local label Shiny Vinyl.

‘She Has Many Wonders’ by Strawbrian Players Convention is a warts-and-all love song with a twist. It’s a quirky, waltzing anti-ballad that juxtaposes swirling synth with acoustic guitar in 12/8 timing.

The song presents a foreboding tale of lost opportunity from a would-be suitor lamenting their caged passion from afar; a cry for help from one lost soul to another.

An evolving collaboration between Aubrey Straw and Brian Karrot, Strawbrian Players Convention are Port Talbot’s answer to Traveling Wilburys, with other contributing local artists frequently featuring in their projects.

‘She Has Many Wonders’ follows the successes of their two previous alternative Christmas number ones, ‘Dealers Shuffle’ and ‘Inter-Class Clown’ as well as the Whizzed Up Version of ‘Stupid’ from Brian’s second album ‘Device Rigged’.

Shiny Vinyl is an independent record label based in Port Talbot near Swansea in Wales. The town has a proud history as one of the biggest steelworks in the world but is also becoming known as an exciting creative hub for new and emerging musical talent. Shiny Vinyl is among a growing number of local labels helping to develop and promote original Welsh artists.
