Bluesfest Adds Beck Acoustic Show To 2023 Lineup

Eight-time Grammy Award-winner Beck makes his Bluesfest debut in 2023, performing his critically acclaimed, intimate acoustic show.

Beck is the 50th artist to be announced for the 34th annual Bluesfest next year, joining the likes of Elvis Costello & The Imposters, Bonnie Raitt, Buddy Guy, Lucinda Williams and many more in Byron Bay over the Easter long weekend.

“We are hugely excited to be presenting Beck, making his Bluesfest debut with a unique acoustic performance,” Festival Director Peter Noble OAM says.

“We have already announced 49 artists for our 34th Bluesfest, and Beck makes it 50! His acoustic set will certainly provide an avant-garde element to our already amazing line up.

“For the first time since 2019, Bluesfest is free and unencumbered to showcase the finest genres of music from all over the globe, and Beck is the true personification of this.”

An artist who has consistently defied convention, Beck rose to prominence in 1994 off the back of his obscure single ‘Loser’, which became an unlikely hit and remains an anthem for the slacker generation.

Over the course of his discography, Beck has subverted nearly every expectation of fans and critics alike. His music encompasses a wide palette of genres, making him one of the true musical geniuses of our time.

Bluesfest takes place at Byron Events Farm (Tyagarah, NSW) 6-10 April 2023.
