Melbourne pop rock quartet Divers unveil new single ‘That’s Time Flying’, the second track from forthcoming EP ‘Economy Class’.

A hazy whorl of swirling guitar and reverb-laced vocals, ‘That’s Time Flying’ pools Divers’ eclectic influences into a spacey contemplation on the relationship between substance and user.

“With ‘That’s Time Flying’ we were trying to capture those feelings of our youth, going out to heaps of 21sts with your best mates and the pure love of those moments,” the band says.

“The chorus is about the relationship one has with substances and how they deceive you in the moment and you think they’re your friend but leave you feeling miserable the days following.”

‘That’s Time Flying’ is the second single taken from the ‘Economy Class’ EP following ‘Security’, with another three songs to be showcased in the lead-up to the EP’s release on Friday 18 August.

Recorded out of their home studio in Melbourne, Divers paired with ARIA award-winning producer Anton Hagop (Powderfinger, Birds of Tokyo, Missy Higgins) to mix the EP, with mastering by George Georgiadis (Tyne-James Organ, Last Dinosaurs).

Divers are quickly building a reputation for themselves as one of Melbourne’s favourite emerging guitar-led bands, recently sharing stages with the likes of The Terrys, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers, Stumps and Jebediah.

‘Economy Class’ is released Friday 18 August via Domestic La La. Visit beehive pr for more about Divers.

‘Become What You Are’, the new album from The Daisycutters is available now via MADCAP Global Music, JB Hi-Fi and independent music retailers.
