NEW MUSIC: ‘Burn Me Out’ by The Sooks
Western Sydney indie rockers The Sooks set the scene alight with their incendiary new song ‘Burn Me Out’.
The powerful and energetic track is filled with a driving rhythm, punchy guitar riffs and captivating vocals, following the feeling of alienation and disconnection from the world and the frustrations that come with feeling stuck in a rut.
“‘Burn Me Out’ explores the feeling alienated from the things around you, being disconnected from the world and feeling like time is passing by when you are stood still,” The Sooks explain.
“We all get that kind of feeling of being burnt out by something or someone, and this song is sort of a tribute to that universal frustration.”
‘Burn Me Out’ was recorded at Sonar Studios in Sydney, produced and mixed by Jack Nigro (Pacific Avenue, Skegss, DMA’s) and mastered by Darren Ziesing (Flume, Lime Cordial, Rufus Du Sol).
The four-piece of Corey Fitzsimons, Keenan Fitzsimons, Jeremy Cassar and Flynn Hume are making themselves known among the throng of indie bands emerging from Sydney’s Western suburbs.
Their bright and sunny, melodic sound spliced with singable lyrics makes for a winning combination, with ‘Burn Me Out’ sure to sound as good on the dancefloor as it does in our ears.
